Self Service Configuration

In this section, you'll learn how to:

  1. Empower all or a certain set of users to reset passwords, unlock accounts, update Active Directory (AD) information, and change passwords based on organizational unit (OU) and group information.
  2. Send password expiry notifications to users via SMS, email, or push alerts.
  3. Use advanced password policy settings to create a custom password policy.
  4. Allow users to update their profile information, subscribe or unsubscribe to email groups, etc.
  5. The password synchronizer feature of ADSelfService Plus automatically synchronizes Windows Active Directory password resets/changes and account unlocks of a user account across multiple other platforms.
  6. The account linking option helps to link user accounts automatically during user's password synchronization and Single Sign-On.
  7. ADSelfService Plus has a robust password synchronization technique that now supports even the native Windows password changes using the "Password Sync Agent". The Password Sync Agent, when installed on the domain controllers in your domain, intercepts native password changes (e.g.: password change via Ctrl+Alt+Del screen or password reset by admins in ADUC console), encrypts the new passwords, and automatically synchronizes them with multiple systems and applications. Single sign-on (SSO) eliminates the need for multiple user IDs and passwords, streamlines login experience of users, and improves security. It uses Active Directory
